Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to entries, bookings and attendance at Pre-War Shelsley 2027, organised by the Vintage Minor Register. By submitting an entry or booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to any reasonable instructions issued by the organisers in connection with the event.

1. The Event

Pre-War Shelsley 2027 is scheduled to take place from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th September 2027, with activities including the Friday reception, Saturday hill climb and displays, and Sunday scenic tour and navigation rally.

The organisers reserve the right to alter the programme, timetable, route, activities or other arrangements where circumstances make this necessary.

2. Entries

Submission of an entry form does not in itself guarantee acceptance. The organisers reserve the right to accept or decline an entry at their discretion.

Entrants are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied on their entry form is accurate and complete and for notifying the organisers if relevant information subsequently changes.

Where an activity has limited capacity, entries may be closed when that capacity is reached.

3. Vehicles and Drivers

Entrants are responsible for ensuring that their vehicles are safe, suitable and comply with any legal or event requirements applicable to the activities in which they participate.

Where a vehicle is to be used on the public highway, it must be road legal and appropriately registered, taxed, insured and, where applicable, have a valid MOT or other required documentation.

Drivers must hold an appropriate valid driving licence and comply with all instructions and requirements issued by the organisers, venue officials and event marshals.

Additional requirements applying specifically to participation in the hill climb will be communicated to entrants where appropriate.

4. Hill Climb

Participation in the Saturday hill climb is subject to the regulations and requirements applicable to the event and to Shelsley Walsh.

Drivers must attend any required briefing and comply with instructions given by officials and marshals.

The organisers or venue officials may prevent a vehicle or driver from taking part where they consider this necessary on grounds of safety, eligibility or compliance with event requirements.

5. Scenic Tour and Navigation Rally

The Sunday Scenic Tour and Navigation Rally take place partly or wholly on public roads. They are not speed events.

Participants must obey the Highway Code, speed limits and all applicable road traffic laws at all times. Route instructions do not override road signs, traffic regulations or the driver's responsibility for the safe operation of the vehicle.

6. Fees and Payment

Entry, ticket and other charges are those shown on the website or entry form at the time a booking is made.

An entry or booking may not be regarded as complete until any applicable payment has been received.

Participants are responsible for checking that they have selected and paid for the activities, tickets and additional requirements they require.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

If you need to cancel an entry or booking, please contact the organisers as soon as possible.

Refunds will be considered having regard to the date of cancellation and any costs already incurred or committed by the organisers. Any specific cancellation or refund arrangements notified at the time of booking will also apply.

We regret that no refunds can be made within 30 days of the start of the weekend.

If the organisers have to cancel the event, or a substantial part of it, they will endeavour to notify affected entrants and ticket holders as soon as reasonably practicable.

The organisers cannot accept responsibility for consequential expenses such as accommodation, travel or other costs incurred by participants or spectators as a result of cancellation, postponement or alteration of the event.

8. Changes and Circumstances Beyond Our Control

Motorsport and outdoor events can be affected by weather, safety considerations, venue requirements and circumstances beyond the organisers' reasonable control.

The organisers therefore reserve the right to amend, postpone, curtail or cancel any part of the programme where reasonably necessary.

The appearance of any particular vehicle, attraction, display or aircraft cannot be guaranteed. In particular, any proposed appearance by the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight would be subject to operational requirements, weather, availability and the necessary approvals.

9. Motorsport and Personal Responsibility

Motorsport involves inherent risks. Participants and spectators must follow designated access arrangements, safety notices and instructions from officials and marshals.

Participants are responsible for assessing their own ability and the suitability of their vehicle for any activity they enter.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

10. Conduct

We want Pre-War Shelsley to be an enjoyable event for everyone. Entrants, guests and spectators are expected to behave responsibly and to follow reasonable instructions from event and venue officials.

The organisers reserve the right to refuse admission or participation, or require a person to leave, where their behaviour creates a safety risk, causes unreasonable disruption or seriously affects the enjoyment of others.

11. Children

Children attending the event remain the responsibility of their accompanying parent, guardian or responsible adult and must be appropriately supervised at all times.

12. Photography and Filming

Photography and filming may take place throughout Pre-War Shelsley. Photographs and recordings made at the event may subsequently be used for event reporting, publicity, social media, historical records and promotion of Pre-War Shelsley or the Vintage Minor Register.

Further information about the handling of personal information is available in our Privacy Policy.

13. Personal Property

Participants and spectators are responsible for their own vehicles, equipment and personal belongings. Items should not be left unattended unless appropriately secured.

14. Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on the Pre-War Shelsley website is accurate. Event arrangements will, however, continue to develop and information may be changed or updated.

Where an important change affects an existing entry or booking, we will endeavour to communicate it directly to those affected.

15. Data Protection

Personal information supplied in connection with an entry, booking or enquiry will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. The Vintage Minor Register is the data controller for personal information collected in connection with Pre-War Shelsley 2027.
